The course also introduces the use of accounting software and provides a strong foundation for further study in bookkeeping and accounting. Ideal for learners with little or no previous experience.
Award in Computerised Accounting using SAGE Business Cloud Accounting
This practical course focuses on the use of cloud-based accounting software in a business environment. You will learn how to record sales and purchase transactions, manage customer and supplier accounts, process bank payments and receipts, and produce key financial reports. It is ideal for those who already have some knowledge of bookkeeping and wish to develop the digital accounting skills used by employers.
Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business
Develop your confidence in using computerised accounting systems to manage financial information. You will learn how to enter and process accounting transactions, maintain customer and supplier records, carry out bank reconciliations and generate reports used to support business decision-making. This course is suitable for learners looking to improve their employability or progress into finance administration roles.
Award in Computerised Payroll for Business
This specialist course provides an introduction to payroll administration using computerised payroll software. You will learn how to process employee pay, calculate statutory deductions, maintain payroll records and understand key payroll procedures. AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

This helps us ensure the course is right for you and allows us to identify any additional support you may need. You should have good basic skills in English, communication and numeracy.

Learner Spotlight: Vijayendar Johal
I was finding it difficult to get back into work, so I decided to retrain. I looked into different options and settled on finance. A friend of mine was studying with the Waltham Forest adult learning centre and gave me a prospectus. I enquired about the AAT Bookkeeping level 1 which I started in April 2022. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the teacher eased any worries I might have had as she was very thorough with each topic and provided all the resources that we needed. After completing this course, I also completed the level 1 software course prior to enrolling for the level 2 AAT Accounting Course.
