We have workshops, taster sessions and classes at different locations in Waltham Forest throughout the year. Our four programme streams are:
From digital inclusion workshops to introductory ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) for parents, our careers for all programme supports your goals. We can help you become a volunteer, get the right skills for a new job, or get back into regular work.
Our health and wellbeing programme includes gardening, fitness and dance, self-development, mindfulness, yoga and textiles courses. Not sure where to start? Join one of our popular workshops or taster sessions. We also have a special social prescribing programme.
Our family learning courses and workshops run throughout the year – over weekends, half terms and school holidays – for children with their parents, carers or any adult relative over 18.
We also provide family learning in schools and children’s centres. These are tailored workshops focussing on speciﬁc topics such as parenting skills, building conﬁdence in children, British sign language, and ﬁrst aid awareness.
Our culture and creative programme builds on our strong partnerships in Waltham Forest. Learners take courses around art, culture, heritage and increase their cultural awareness.

Learner, Families Make and Create craft workshop
Our diverse team has highly experienced education professionals. They have developed and delivered award-winning learning and training for over twenty years. They are skilled at community engagement and understanding the needs, interests, aspirations, priorities and strengths of our local communities.
We provide tailored courses for parents and carers in schools, children’s centres and other local organisations. We can work with your organisation to offer free, short non-qualification courses in a variety of areas. Please email Adult.Learning@walthamforest.gov.uk for more information.
