Kirren’s story

Having the support of the Adult Learning Service positively impacted my life … I’m grateful for the guidance that I received to help me get to this point.

Kirren, Passport to Work learner

‘I found out about the Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service when I participated in a Civil Service course. From there I decided to sign up to the Rapid Employment Service, the Passport to Work course, and to receive help from the Job Club. I learned about various things such as the current job market and the ways to stand out. I was also given support with applications.

I went to an information session for Work Coach vacancies and was supported through the application process, and I’m pleased to say that I’ll be starting the role in a few weeks!

Having the support of the Adult Learning Service positively impacted my life by receiving encouragement and meeting like-minded people. I’m grateful for the guidance that I received to help me get to this point.’
