Family learning
Our family learning courses and workshops are a great way for families to learn together. They are for children with their parents/carers/any adult relative over the age of 18.
Meet and share experiences with other families: you’ll gain new knowledge and increase your understanding of how to support your child’s learning. Example courses include creative arts and crafts, dance, mindfulness and sing and sign.
Our courses for parents will improve your skills and help you understand how your child learns and their school curriculum. Topics include: parenting, phonics, reading creatively, safety online, everyday English and keeping up with your children’s math or English.
What our learners say
‘Brilliant course, I found the teacher very knowledgeable and helpful, my confidence has increased, and I know I will feel more confident helping my kids.’
Learner, Families Make and Create craft workshop
‘Our teacher was amazing; she supported us very well: if we couldn’t understand something she taught us again to ensure we were confident. The course was an amazing experience: [it’s given me] an incredible increase in my knowledge and confidence so that I can support my child [pictured above] with his schoolwork.’
Sabahat, Keeping up with the children (maths) learner
‘The course challenged me in more ways than I could’ve imagined. Since attending the course, I find that I’m a better listener to my kids. Overall, I genuinely feel like a better parent who’s more confident and no longer totally lost.’
Elena, Calm Parents Calm Children learner
