You don’t need an assessment for most of our art, crafts, fashion, gardening, community learning and family learning courses and workshops. This means you can enrol using our online course finder. You will need to select the relevant area, for example ‘Art, crafts and fashion’, ‘Horticulture & gardening’, ‘Community’ or ‘Family learning’ for the course you want to do.

Who can attend
Our courses are open to all adults aged 19 and older. Some family learning courses are for adults and children together.
Free courses and discounts
Many of our courses are free or up to 70 percent off depending on your circumstances. If you don’t qualify for free courses, book early to get a 10 percent discount!

Our courses are either online, in-class (outdoors for gardening courses) or a mix of these (blended). Each course description or listing shows the course location(s).
Wellbeing programme (socially prescribed)
Social prescribing – or community referral – allows GPs, nurses and other primary care health professionals to refer people to a range of local non-clinical services. Our award-winning wellbeing programme includes a range of creative and gardening courses at different venues in the borough. Interested? Other courses: English, maths, digital skills and more
Need new skills for work or want to change career? We have courses and training for beginners and experienced learners in subjects ranging from English and maths to childcare to hair and beauty.
For English, maths, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and any courses that can give you a formal qualification, you will need to do a free pre-course assessment with us before you can enrol.
