Multiply is a free Skills for Life programme offering a mix of courses, training and events to help adults in the UK improve their numeracy skills.

Do you worry about your maths skills? Do you find it hard to manage your bills?
We offer numeracy courses and workshops for complete beginners as well as confident learners.

Our Multiply courses and workshops can help you:

  • manage your money and make budgets
  • support children with their maths homework

  • study for a GCSE or other formal qualification
  • gain job-ready numeracy skills.

You can take part in our Multiply programme if you are a Waltham Forest resident aged 19 or older and do not have GCSE maths at grade C (or equivalent).


Upcoming Multiply Events

Multiply: Festive Scavenger Hunt and Family Crafts

Date: Saturday 16 December
Location: Leyton Jubilee Park

This activity is for anyone who is interested to know how they can support their children 3-11 years old in learning and having fun through creative, maths-based activities centred around cultural and seasonal themes.

The activity will begin with a festive, scavenger hunt around Leyton Jubilee Park and continue with some optional craft activities. This is a course for adults and children.

You will learn:

  • How to work with your children to create various art and crafts.
  • Various art techniques based around seasonal and cultural themes.
  • Engage your children in maths and numeracy through art.
  • To be creative and innovative with your children.
  • Problem solving through art.
  • How much fun and interaction you can have with your family when being creative.

Family Cookery Club

Date: Saturday Mornings - 10am to 12pm - September 2023 to May 2024

Families are invited to attend these free, drop-in cookery workshops where the emphasis is on taking part in a fun, hands on and practical workshop preparing an internationally themed lunch for families to enjoy together at the end of each event.

Maths Games Club

The Games Club is a great space for adults to come together in an informal, relaxed atmosphere to play games such as Chess, Backgammon, Cards & Dominoes. The club is part of our Multiply Programme, designed to increase people’s confidence using maths for work and everyday life. The games involve critical thinking and detailed calculations, they can help to sharpen your mind, improve confidence with numbers and increase your mental calculational ability.
